The Arrivals x Snarkitecture

| 07.05.2016

Snarkitecture is a studio we love since day 1. We previously talked about their insane collaboration with Killspencer on the Mini Basketball Kit, and they are back with a very cool new co-branding.

Featuring The Arrivals, this unique product expresses the leitmotiv of the brand, inherently different in the fashion industry: 'The Arrivals was born out of the idea that supremely elevated products should exist at an honest price. (...) we carefully craft each of our outerwear pieces with the highest-quality manufacturers in the business and sell them direct to you.'

The Arrivals and Snarkitecture were co-founded by architects and experience designers in pursuit of design distilled to its absolute form that creates a sense of wonder, excitement and necessity for the user. The Arrivals x Snarkitecture collaboration is an exploration of how the shared design principles of form + function transcend notions of product, purpose, and performance.

Built around the lifestyle and necessity of the modern individual. The ELEMENT Poncho's hyper-articulated interior features laser-cut reflective pockets that are heat-sealed to the poncho interior creating a seamless layer between the wearer and the environment.

Created from a waterproof Swiss micro-mesh shell, the jacket utilizes high-tech laser cutting technology to create a waterproof layer between the user and their environment.

In search of an environment that mirrored the minimalist design of The ELEMENT Poncho, they went 150 miles North West of NYC, to a place called Mohican, and collaborated with photographer Noah Kalina to capture moments of elemental juxtaposition on the frozen Mohican Lake.
