Narita Airport Running Track

Architecture | 27.05.2015

We knew Japan was a country full of surprises.

Their latest smart and funny concept was launched in April in Tokyo's Narita Airport.

If, like most of us, you have ever been late for a flight and had to run through the entire airport, you know how annoying a crowded airport can be. Tokyo's Narita Airport decided to make it easier - and more fun - for you to get to your flight.

The designers of Narita's new Terminal 3 skipped the traditional moving walkways and instead put in running tracks throughout the terminal. They are part of a cost-saving plan in the new airport, which will concern exclusively low-cost carriers.

Feel free to tell us what are your thoughts on this friendly guidance!
